Donating securities that have been held for a year or more offers the potential for a triple tax benefit:

• a full fair market value tax deduction*
• the elimination of capital gains taxes
• the possible reduction of the Medicare Surcharge, also known as the Income-Related Monthly Adjustment Amount (IRMAA). This is an extra charge added to your monthly premium if your income is above a specific limit. Donating stock now can help reduce your Modified Adjusted Gross Income (MAGI) for future IRMAA.

*Charitable contributions can only reduce your tax bill if you forgo the standard deduction in favor of itemized deductions.

Electronic delivery of stock shares is the most secure and expedient delivery process available and provides efficient internal control as well as cost savings.

Notification of Donor Intent

Regardless of how you deliver a gift of stock, the donor or transferring broker must provide the following information, for audit and acknowledgment purposes.

• Donor's Name and Complete Address
• Name and number of securities transferred
• Program to which gift should be directed, if any
